Claid.ai

Add Claid.ai to your product for your customers, and give your AI agents governed access to it.

Claid.ai is a processing API rather than a store of records: you POST an operations object to /v1-beta1/image/edit on api.claid.ai and receive a processed image back, so a GET against that same path answers 405 rather than returning a listing. The source image is supplied either as a URL in the request body or through the multipart upload variant, and the output can be written to your own storage destination instead of being handed back inline. Operations such as background removal, upscaling, cropping and resizing are composed inside one request body, and the order they are applied in is fixed by the API rather than by your JSON, which catches out people expecting resize-then-upscale to behave like upscale-then-resize. Batch and larger jobs run asynchronously and signal completion by webhook, so the caller needs a durable place to park the job reference rather than holding a request open. fastn holds each customer's Claid API key, attributes jobs to their account and maintains the connector as the beta endpoints move.

In your product

Embedded for your customers. Per-tenant auth, no per-customer code, maintained by fastn.

Let a customer connect their own Claid.ai account so image processing is billed to them and outputs land in their storage

Run product photos through background removal and standard resizing as they are uploaded to your catalogue

Generate consistent thumbnail and hero crops for every asset a customer publishes, using one saved operations preset per brand

Reprocess a customer's historic image set when their output size or format requirements change

For your AI agents

Governed, audited access for the agents you build, through the MCP server.

Ask an agent to prepare a batch of images to a named preset and report which ones failed, with every submission audited per tenant

Have an agent pick the right upscaling factor for images below a minimum resolution and queue only those

Let an agent check the status of outstanding batch jobs for a customer and surface anything stuck past its expected window

Example prompt

Can you run the new product photos through background removal and resize them to 2000px square?

Set up Claid.ai in 4 steps

  1. 01Enable the Claid.ai connector from your fastn dashboard.
  2. 02Have each customer authorise their own Claid.ai account, so calls run under their credentials rather than a shared key.
  3. 03Decide which models, requests and outputs your product needs, map those fields, then enable the actions and triggers you want.
  4. 04Call it from your product and expose it to your agents through the same governed connection.

Why teams use the Claid.ai integration

What you get by embedding it with fastn instead of building it yourself.

  • Ship a Claid.ai integration without building it. Your customers connect their own Claid.ai account inside your product and work their models, requests and outputs there, with no per-customer code on your side.
  • Handle the part that actually costs time: per-customer keys, quotas and cost attribution matter more than schema here, because every call is billed. fastn owns the auth, token refresh, rate limits, pagination and breaking-change fixes, so a Claid.ai update is not your on-call problem.
  • One integration serves your product and your agents. The same governed Claid.ai connection powers in-product features and gives AI agents scoped, audited access, so you give your product and your agents a model call each customer pays for themselves without wiring it twice.

Claid.ai integration FAQ

How do I add a Claid.ai integration to my product?

Enable the Claid.ai connector in your fastn dashboard, then let each customer authenticate their own Claid.ai account. fastn handles the OAuth flow, token storage and refresh per tenant, so there is no Claid.ai client code in your app and no per-customer branch in your codebase. Setup is 4 steps.

Do my customers each connect their own Claid.ai account?

Yes. Every connection is scoped to the individual customer, so each authorises their own Claid.ai account and only ever sees their own models, requests and outputs. That per-tenant isolation is the point of an embedded integration: you support the long tail of customer setups without maintaining an integration per customer.

Can AI agents use this Claid.ai integration?

Yes. The same connection is exposed to your agents through the fastn MCP gateway, with permissions scoped per tenant and every call audited. Ask an agent to prepare a batch of images to a named preset and report which ones failed, with every submission audited per tenant

Who maintains the Claid.ai integration?

fastn does. When Claid.ai changes an endpoint, deprecates a field or alters its auth, the fix lands in the connector rather than in your backlog, and your customers' connections keep working.

Whose Claid.ai API key and quota does each call use?

Each customer authorises their own Claid.ai account, so usage, rate limits and cost land on the customer that caused them. You are not metering a shared key and re-billing it, and one heavy customer cannot exhaust another's quota.

Are inputs and outputs auditable?

Yes. Every call is logged per tenant with the call, the input and the result, so an output can be traced back to what produced it. That matters more here than in most integrations, because a generated answer or an extracted field cannot be reconstructed from the request alone.

What can I build with the Claid.ai integration?

A common starting point: let a customer connect their own Claid.ai account so image processing is billed to them and outputs land in their storage. Teams also use it for the other use cases listed above, and expose it to agents for governed reads and writes.

How much does the Claid.ai integration cost?

It is included. Pricing is based on connected accounts, not on how many connectors you enable, so adding Claid.ai does not change your per-connector cost. You can start free with 3 connected accounts.
