Pushover is a push notification delivery service, so of the categories here Communication is the least wrong: there are messages and recipients, but no threaded conversations. Every send carries two credentials, an application token and a user or delivery group key, and getting them the wrong way round is the usual first failure. Messages are capped at roughly a thousand characters, and emergency priority behaves differently from all other priorities: it requires retry and expire values and returns a receipt that you poll until the alert is acknowledged, otherwise it keeps re-alerting. Quota is counted per application per month rather than per recipient, so one noisy tenant can exhaust it for everyone if you share a token. fastn keeps each customer's own application token and group keys separate and handles rotation without redeploying your alerting code.
